ECUADOR
Interested in improving public health in rural Ecuador? You will engage in health promotion and disease prevention activities, e.g. promoting water filters or vaccinations, supporting the implementation of health campaigns in remote villages and building capacity among community health workers.
The minimum volunteer commitment in "La Y de la Laguna" is four months. We require you to bring knowledge and experience in public health, as well as good Spanish language skills.
GHANA
Keen on supporting health care delivery and capacity building in rural Ghana? Alongside a senior nurse you would be responsible for the provision of primary health care for the local population. While you would see patients, the emphasis of your work would be on supervising, supporting and building local staff members' capacity. Prior to starting your work in the primary care center, you would get the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the new context at the local district hospital of Agogo.
The minimum volunteer commitment in "Boamadumasi" is three months. You must have at least three years of postgraduate experience as a doctor or nurse, a diploma in tropical medicine or nursing or public health and good English language skills.
